Within the course of one year this nonprofit would require marketing efforts for a $1 million dollar fundraising campaign, a $100K+ donor gala, a $2 million building project, a $100K grant application, a $1 million government grant, peer to peer fundraising and multiple micro-fundraising initiatives throughout the year.

LOCAL SEO STRATEGY FOR RETAIL TOY STORE

This newly launched specialty diecast shop was focused on growing their online retail sales. However, they knew they needed a marketing strategy which would drive customers into the store on the weekends. Rachael provided keyword research and cornerstone copy focused on local SEO for anyone searching for diecast brands in the local area.

The strategy has paid off. This client enjoys a 48% organic search result and by tracking in-store engagement, they realize that 50% of their customers find them as a result of Google search results.

SCRIPTING FOR $100k GRANT APPLICATION

When this nonprofit became a finalist in a $100,000 grant giveaway, the final step required a one-hour campus tour. During the onsite visit, the donors would meet key staff member and travel to three separate facilities. They would meet department leaders, volunteers, board members, and the equine team.

However, COVID-19 put a fast halt to all in person gatherings. That’s when I was called upon to script a 50 minute video presentation which would be  submitted as a replacement to the live site visit.

The production was instrumental in procuring donors and strategic partnerships throughout the year representing millions of dollars of grant and donor pledges.

RETAILER ENGAGES IN EVENT MARKETING

One way an independent retailer increases his SEO is to build blog posts promoting the regular events that take place in his retail center. By highlighting his neighbors, he builds links and shares content with neighboring businesses. With the use of proper shares and tags, this strategy has proved effective. The articles are picked up and shared on community Facebook groups and local Chamber of Commerce feeds. Rising tides raise all ships, and although the content is not specific to this owner’s product, he has benefited by building online clout that will build his SERP score in the long run.

This article entitled “The Power and Problem of The Detox” was written as a blog article for an anti-human sex trafficking organization. The shut down of 2020 brought many challenges as we faced collective withdrawals from some of our favorite events and traditions. One counselor offered good advice on how to recognize the signs of withdrawal, and healthy strategies for coping.
